A veteran fleet in the STAR TREK ONLINE™️ Universe. The founders of Task Force Defiance have been around since the dawn of STAR TREK ONLINE in 2010, and created the fleet itself in an act of defiance- banding together to have a fleet where all officers have a voice. Task Force Defiance was established April 17, 2013 and has been going strong ever since.
Task Force Defiance is a helpful and social environment for all STAR TREK ONLINE players, and the many other benefits joining a fleet brings. Task Force Defiance also has its own Task Force Academy, where new players can get training and tips by resident expert teachers, buildmasters, and theorycrafters, and is a library of information on all things STAR TREK ONLINE.
In Task Force Defiance we make no difference in player skill level, ethnicity, background, gender, orientation, creed, religion, or age, and we take the rights and freedoms of all very seriously.
You must be at least 18 years or older to join. Everybody is welcome to join and take part in our community.

Can you operate?
This group of elite TFD members known as the Task Force Defiance Special Operations Group, are looking for Operators- the few and the proud that seek that most difficult of the challenges in the STO universe... Elite TFOs. These players are able to play at the highest level, and seek others who are able to do the same. To join the TFD-SOG team and be given the rank of Operator, a player must:
Operators must be knowledgeable enough to help other players seeking to play at the Elite level. TFD-SOG is as much about teaching as it is about playing at the highest level. The fundamental idea behind this group is that nobody will need to be ‘carried’ through a TFO- there are plenty of people doing that in elite TFOs already. There will be no DPS checks or tests in order to become an Operator- simply being a team player is more than enough to join TFD-SOG.
If you aren’t quite playing at the level elite TFOs demand but want to join TFD-SOG, don’t worry! Operators are here to help you learn to master TFOs, so that you too can one day join elite random TFOs without fear.

The Task Force Defiance website is now LIVE after about a month of development and the Star Trek Online Roster Parser is now complete for Version 4.0β release.
What is the Star Trek Online Roster Parser? A couple of months ago I was chatting with Dreez asking about if the In-Game CSV Export makes managing members easier for those in charge of the Fleet Memberships. Well to get to the point he said, "Take a look at it when you get a chance". So I did, and boy I should have done that a long time ago. My head instantly exploded with ideas and this, the Star Trek Roster Parser was born!
What started out as a Microsoft Excel Macro Workbook just between, Dreez, Xantical and myself, I started getting people asking, "Would this work with other fleets?" which I begun pondering the idea of possibly making into a website using PHP and MySQL. Well obviously that idea went into full effect about a month ago and I started programming 4.0β. The time I spent on this was just free time around my already busy life and it came out quiet nice.
How can I use this for my own Star Trek Online Fleet? At this time being so early in the launch and still under development, the only way is to be invited by either Dreez or myself by joining our Discord and getting to know us.
Will there be a public enrollment? Honestly, when I was programming this, I designed it to be used just for that purpose eventually once all the main development was complete and fleets using it can give feedback on features while offering suggestions.
What's so amazing about it? Well, what you don't see beyond the Public Roster Listings is that it has many useful features to manage your members and fleet. It's amazing what you can do with that dinky CSV Export that Star Trek Online paid little attention to. Examples would be that it can identify promotions for members, anniversaries, point out possible purge records based on inactivity and give you a complete summary of your fleet from a perspective that you have not seen before.
But, as I said, join us online on Discord and get to know us or stand by, eventually I will make it more open to the general public.
Cheers! TRI0N
